Theatre community folks - please read:

Since we announced PATA's participation in the program at the Drammys, quite a few people have mentioned to me that they are excited about getting free tickets to see a show at one of the participating theatres. Well, I hate to disappoint you, but these tickets are not for us. PLEASE respect the goals of the program (bringing NEW audiences into our theatres) and let someone else have those seats.

We all have other ways to get comps - ask a friend; call the box office and see if you can get an industry comp; usher; volunteer to put up posters; etc. These tickets are for folks who don't know yet how powerful and moving our art form is. The companies you know and love need those new audience members in their house in order to grow and thrive. Please do not take these opportunities away just to see a show for free.

Please do encourage your neighbors, co-workers, friends or family who don't get out to see our work to take advantage of this program.
