Audition Application Information

PATA hosts city-wide auditions twice a year, in January and June.

Detailed information is generally available 6 weeks prior to the audition dates.

Membership, Application Fees and Materials

Non-Equity actors must be a current PATA or TPS member to audition. PATA membership may be purchased or renewed online at the end of the application process.

Equity actors are not required to be PATA members to audition. The PATA City-Wide Auditions are not official Equity auditions. However, local Equity theatres generally do attend, and many smaller theatres use Equity actors under small theatre or guest artist contracts. Follow the same procedure as non-Equity actors below, and mail or email proof of your Equity status to PATA to complete your application.

All auditioners are required to provide PATA with

1 headshot
1 resume, and a
$5 materials fee (to cover the cost of printing the auditor packets.)*

*If you schedule both a musical and a non-musical audition slot you must pay this fee twice.

All audition materials and fees must be received by Wednesday, June 11th.

If your application, headshot, resume or materials fee is received after Wednesday, June 11th, your audition slot will be forfeited, and a $20.00 late fee will be charged if you wish to apply for another audition time.

Scheduling

Online applicants may choose their own half-hour timeslot. If no timeslots are available, applicants may choose a stand-by slot if one is available.

Mail applicants may indicate a time preference on the application form. If all slots are filled at the time we receive your application, we will schedule you in a stand-by slot if one is available.

About Stand-by Slots
If you are scheduled in a stand-by slot, you are not guaranteed an audition. You must arrive at the theatre as close as possible to the beginning of your stand-by slot, and will be worked into the schedule if a slot becomes available. Auditioners scheduled in stand-by slots must have all of their audition materials in by Wednesday, June 11th or their stand-by slot will be forfeited.

Notification

If you are applying online, you will receive email notification of your reservation upon completion of the application process. If applying by mail, notice of your audition time, location, and additional information will be emailed to you by Friday, June 13th.

If you do not have email, you will be called at the phone number indicated on your application.

If you do not receive your audition time by Friday, June 13th, please email the audition coordinator at auditions@patagreenroom.org
Please do not call for information about your audition, unless you have not received your information by Friday, June 13th.
