Membership, Application Fees and Materials

Non-Equity actors must be a current PATA or TPS member to audition. PATA membership may be purchased or renewed online at the end of the application process.

Equity actors are not required to be PATA members to audition. Equity actors are required to have a current Equity card, and be in good standing. Failure to present your card at the audition will result in the loss of your audition slot. The PATA City-Wide Auditions are not official Equity auditions. However, local Equity theatres generally do attend, and many smaller theatres use Equity agreements, codes and contracts to hire Equity actors. Follow the same procedure as non-Equity actors, and be sure to have your card with you on the day of your audition.

Out-of-town auditioners should contact Sam Hull (sam@patagreenroom.org) or Michael Mendelson (michael@patagreenroom.org) by email if not able to attend a qualifying date (see below).

All auditioners are required to provide PATA with
  • 1 headshot (jpg or pdf 600-800KB)
  • 1 resume (pdf)
  • 1 $5 materials fee PER audition (to cover the cost of printing the auditor packets)

All audition materials and fees must be received by Saturday, May 15th.

If your application, headshot, resume or materials fee is received after Saturday, May 15th, your audition slot will be forfeited, and a $20.00 late fee will be charged if you wish to apply for another audition time.

Scheduling

Applicants may choose a half-hour timeslot during the online application process. If no timeslots are available, applicants may choose a stand-by slot if one is available.

About Stand-by Slots
A limited number of stand-by slots will be available each day through the online registration process. Auditioners registered online for a stand-by slot will be seen, if a slot becomes available, in the order signed up. Sign up will begin one hour before the first audition of the day at the audition location.
If you are scheduled in a stand-by slot you are not guaranteed an audition. You will be worked into the schedule if a slot becomes available, in the order in which you are signed up on the day of the auditions. Auditioners who register for stand-by slots must have all of their audition materials in by Saturday, May 15th or their stand-by slot will be forfeited.

Notification

You will receive an instant email confirmation of your reservation when you select your time through the online application process. Please be sure to check your junk mail box if you do not see this confirmation within a minute or two. Please note that although your timeslot is reserved, you will forfeit that reservation if all materials and fees are not submitted by Saturday, May 15th.
