Drammys

The Portland Drammy Committee is pleased to announce that the 29th Annual Drammy Awards Ceremony, celebrating outstanding achievement in Portland theatre, will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.

Once again the event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom. The pre-show social hour will begin at 6:00 pm and the awards ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm. There will also be time after the ceremony for socializing in the ballroom or head to Lola's Room for the PATA party and karaoke!

Our co-hosts of the ceremony this year will be Vana and Eleanor O'Brien!

This year, two Leslie O. Fulton Fellowships ($5000 each), the Portland Civic Theatre Award ($1500 to a local theatre company) and two Mary Brand Scholarships ($250 awards to high school age or younger persons) will be awarded by the Portland Civic Theatre Guild.

You are all invited, and, as usual, the event is free to the public, young and old, so invite your friends and family and other interesting parties. We will keep you updated on the preparations for the ceremony as they progress in the next month, and send reminder notices as the date approaches.

PRODUCTION PHOTOS

This year's Drammy Awards ceremony will once again feature a pre-ceremony slide show of photos from the past season's productions, and we want to include photos from your shows! You may provide either images as attachments to an e-mail or you may send a link to press photos stored on your theater's Web site. Either way, please be sure to indicate title of show and photographer credit, if necessary. And if you are sending large graphic files, please try to break them up into multiple e-mails to make sure they are delivered. Please send your production photos directly to Drammy Committee member Ashley Wase at mailto:ashleywase@mac.com by May 15th.

You may also mail your photos on CD. Please email Ashley to get her address if you wish to do this.
